Our Vision
To raise a generation of financially smart, responsible and generous kids. We believe kids should grow up knowing the value of money- not the fear of it. To make money a conversation and to guide families on a beautiful journey of confidence, clarity and endless possibilities
Our Story
Financial literacy is becoming a critical "survival skill" for the next generation in Canada. Based on reports from 2024 and 2025, here are key statistics illustrating why this is so urgent right now
As a parent myself, I relate to there being a massive disconnect between how worried parents are and how equipped they feel to help.
58% of Canadian parents frequently worry about their child's financial future.
70% of parents do not feel prepared to teach their kids about money at home.
89% of parents say they would feel more confident about their child's future if the child had better financial knowledge before their teenage years.
Despite being digital natives, Canadian high schoolers are struggling with the basics of money management.
Only 20% of high school students feel they understand the concept of debt.
Only 17% feel they have a solid grasp of budgeting.
61% of Canadian high schoolers believe they will be worse off financially than their parents' generation.
If parents aren't teaching it, kids are learning it from questionable sources.
Young Canadians (aged 18–34) are twice as likely to seek financial advice from social media (e.g., TikTok, Instagram influencers) compared to older generations.
While 57% turn to family for advice, the high rate of parents feeling "unprepared" (see point #1) means this advice may not always be accurate or confident.
The simple act of talking about money makes a measurable difference.
Teens who discuss finances with their parents even just once a week score significantly higher (approx. 33 points) on standardized financial literacy tests (PISA) than those who do not.
Currently, only about 29% of parents report having these weekly discussions
